Dr. Maura Milas Vroman, DDS, MS
Dr. Maura Milas Vroman is a board-certified orthodontist and proud Quad Cities native. She’s known for her expertise in Invisalign® treatment, early interceptive care, and fully customized orthodontic plans using state-of-the-art digital technology like LightForce braces.
After graduating magna cum laude from Augustana College, Dr. Vroman earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She then completed her Master’s degree and earned a Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Iowa — one of the most competitive orthodontic programs in the country.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Vroman holds the highest distinction in her field. She is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Midwest Society of Orthodontists.
Starting in 2010, Dr. Vroman currently serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa, Department of Orthodontics, where she educates the residents on clinical procedures and techniques, as well as the nuances of private practice settings. She enjoys learning from the residents, just as much as they enjoy learning from her!

Personal Life
Dr. Vroman was born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois. She was the salutatorian of her Rock Island High School Class and she went on to graduate magna cum luaude from Augustana. While at Augie, she competed in both varsity softball and varsity swimming, being named to the Academic All-America team for swimming.
She married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Jake Vroman, who now works as a teacher in the Quad Cities. Together, they’re raising four energetic children.
Community Involvement
Dr. Vroman is active in local school programs and charitable outreach. She believes in making orthodontic care a fun and positive experience, especially for children and teens. Her leadership style is approachable, genuine, and rooted in trust.
Whether she’s sponsoring local events, volunteering at community health fairs, or supporting school activities, Dr. Vroman is committed to giving back to the community that shaped her into the person and professional she is today.
